Voice tips for accurate case entries

How to dictate cases so Munshi gets the client, court, date and sections right first time — what to say, noisy corridors, several cases in one note and corrections.Updated 26 October 2026

Munshi understands natural speech in Urdu, Punjabi and English. These tips make drafts more accurate, especially in noisy corridors.

Say the four essentials

  1. Who — client or case title ("Bashir walad Usman", "Rafiq Traders versus NBP").
  2. Where — the court ("Court 5 Kachehri", "Family Court 2", "Civil Judge 9").
  3. When — date and time ("kal das bajay", "parson 11 bajay", "agle Monday 2 pm").
  4. Why — the purpose ("zamanat ki darkhwast", "arguments", "witness evidence").

Anything else — FIR number, police station, sections, judge, documents to carry — is a bonus.

Speak like you speak to your clerk

There is no special format. Mixing languages is fine: "379 te 411 lagiyan ne, FIR thana Ichhra di 512 number". Relative dates (kal, parson, agle hafte) are converted to real dates from the moment you record.

Noisy corridors

  • Hold the phone about a hand’s width from your mouth.
  • Turn slightly away from the crowd; Munshi suppresses background noise.
  • Wired or Bluetooth earphones with a mic work well.
  • If the signal is weak, Munshi will ask you to move closer.

Several cases in one note

Say "pehla case… doosra case…" and Munshi creates separate drafts for each.

Fixing a draft

  • Tap any field to edit it — dates use quick chips (Tomorrow, Day after) and times are limited to court hours.
  • Or tap Refine and say the correction: "Judge ka naam Ayesha Malik hai, aur time saarhe 11 hai." Changed fields flash green.

Limits

Each note can be up to 3 minutes. Your plan includes monthly voice minutes (Junior 100, Solo 400, Chamber 1,200 shared). Most entries take 15–40 seconds.
