What does Jirah mean? جرح

Jirah is cross-examination — questioning of a witness by the opposite party after examination-in-chief.

Article 132 of the Qanun-e-Shahadat Order, 1984 describes examination-in-chief, cross-examination and re-examination.

A hearing fixed “for cross-examination” usually needs the file and earlier statements ready, a good reason to attach documents to the case.
