What does Hukm-e-imtina mean? حکم امتناعی

Hukm-e-imtina means a stay order or injunction — a court order restraining a party from doing something, or keeping the position unchanged, until further orders.

Temporary injunctions in civil suits are granted under Order XXXIX, rules 1 and 2 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (CPC), read with section 94.

Because interim injunctions are often granted “till the next date”, the next date of hearing is especially important to track.
